Overview | What are people saying about National Fatherhood Initiative's PSAs?
One of National Fatherhood Initiative's goals is to spread the message of the importance of involved, responsible, and committed fatherhood to all sectors of society. Therefore, in cooperation with the Ad Council, National Fatherhood Initiative produces Public Service Announcements (PSAs) that appear in national media across the country. The PSAs are aimed at informing the public of the negative consequences of father absence, and, conversely, the positive impact of father involvement. They seek to educate and inspire men to be involved in their children's lives, and for others to support the father's role as an involved and responsible parent.
Throughout the campaign's seven-year history, public figures such as Tiger Woods, Tom Selleck, James Earl Jones, Tim McGraw, and Colin Powell have offered their time and talent to communicate the value of fatherhood to the American public. "Your advertisements have portrayed qualities that are realistically
attainable and wholly desirable: a father who can be playful, sensitive,
understanding and still be a strong dad."
-- Karen Carmel, via the Internet
"What a GREAT COMMERCIAL with the father dancing w/ his daughter!!
That had impact!! It shows that a single moment in giving of one's self
and time can mean so much to a child. It proves that the best things in
life aren't things!!"
-- Lunette Utter, via the Internet
"I absolutely had to write regarding your fabulous new dancing
dad
and daughter ad! It is so PERFECT! That man
is so serious and dead set on copying his daughter's dance moves....it's
hysterical! I even recorded it to save forever."

Helen Alipio, via the Internet
"Your recent run of commercials for your organization have
been
outstanding, right on the money. The father and son stars wars on the
front lawn ad is too cute. It's good to remind parents that keeping a
good sense of humor will only help encourage their childrens' senses of
humor. Keep up the great work!!!"
-- Megan Hunter, via the Internet
"I just saw the TV commercial where the father goes into
a store to make a purchase for his daughter...good work!"
-- Mike Haider, via the Internet
"I saw the light-saber commercial on TV. I visited the
website, downloaded everything I could - video clips, radio ads, pictures.
I applaud
you for what you are doing."
-- Jason Brightwell, via the Internet
